Happy Healthy New Year!

It's almost here. The beginning of a brand new year. A time to remember the year past and make plans for the year ahead.

Take a moment to reflect.
What did 2012 mean to you?

Now that it is almost in the rear view, how can you use the events of the past year - good or bad - to learn from?

Now think of a fresh new start. Take a moment to dream.

How do you see yourself in 2013?

I'd venture to say that most of us would say we want to be healthy and happy. But what does that look like for you?

We all are so wonderfully unique that being healthy and happy will fit us differently. The key is to find what works for you.

What connects your mind, body and spirit and brings you to healthy wholeness?

In this new year make a commitment to be good to yourself. Tune into your body and your mind and find out when it feels the most healthy.

When do you feel the most alive?

Who brings out the best in you?

What motivates you?

What gives you hope?

Keep moving towards all of those things and don't give up. You are worth it! Dream big. Don't be afraid to fall short of those dreams because that is not failure.  Failure is not even trying.

Everyday is an opportunity to show the world who you are. There is only one you. Strive to be the best you there is.

No, dear brothers and sisters, I am still not all I should be, but I am focusing all my energies on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us up to heaven. - Philippians 3:13-14 (NLT)

With love,

Your Sole Sisters

  1. I love your blog, glad that I found it. I am going to dream really big this next year since the last 12 months were a total bust for me. Most importantly I don't want to hold myself back and I want to give myself the credit that I deserve. I might not be the best runner out there, but I do have the dedication and motivation to make myself be the best that I can be. I need to stop holding back and just run.
    Happy New Year!

    1. I'm so glad you found us too and I'm glad to have found your blog. I noticed our PRs are VERY similar (with the exception of your marathon time.) Blessings to you in your 2013 pursuits!

    2. Tasha,
What a great attitude to have! That in itself is the first step to fulfillment. I too wish you much joy in the upcoming year.
